Pastoral Care

Pastoral care team

All are called to help in ways which work best. As the Catechism of the Catholic Church #911 says, "In the Church, lay members of the Christian faithful can cooperate in the exercise of this power [of governance] in accord with the norm of law. And so the Church provides for their presence at particular councils, diocesan synods, pastoral councils; the exercise of the pastoral care of a parish, collaboration in finance committees, and participation in ecclesiastical tribunals, etc. Thus lay people are to be involved in the pastoral care of the sick."

The mission of St. Mary’s Parish is to proclaim and celebrate our salvation through Jesus Christ, our pilgrimage to the Father’s Kingdom enlivened by the Holy Spirit. Our Catholic faith community is nourished by our sacramental life, especially the Sunday celebration of the Eucharist. With Mother Mary as our model, we demonstrate our faith through worship, education, vocations and service.
